The "Include quantities for auto-assembled products" setting in the eCommerce Hub's Shopify integration controls whether your Shopify store displays additional stock quantities for assembled products that can be automatically built from their components. When enabled, Shopify will show both your physical stock and the potential stock that can be assembled from available components.

Why use this feature?

Enable this setting when you want to:

  • Maximize sales opportunities by showing customers the true available quantity, including items you can quickly assemble.

  • Improve customer experience by displaying accurate stock levels for products that can be built on demand.

  • Reduce missed sales from products showing as out-of-stock when components are available for assembly.

Disable this setting when you:

  • Prefer conservative stock displays showing only physical inventory.

  • Have complex assembly processes that may not align with immediate fulfillment expectations.

  • Want to manage assembly timing manually rather than automatically.

πŸ“Œ Note: This setting only affects products that have both a Bill of Materials configured and the "Can Auto Assemble" option enabled. Products without these configurations will export standard stock quantities regardless of this setting.

Configure the "Include quantities for auto-assembled products" setting

  1. Navigate to eCommerce Hub > Shopify.

  2. Click "Configure" on your Shopify store tile.

  3. Go to the Stock Configuration tab

  4. Locate the "Include quantities for auto-assembled products" setting.

  5. Toggle the setting:

    • Green (enabled): Includes "Can Assemble" quantities in Shopify stock exports.

    • Grey (disabled): Exports only physical stock quantities.

  6. Click Save to apply changes.

How it works

When enabled: Shopify receives your physical stock plus the "Can Assemble" quantity for any product with "Can Auto Assemble" enabled in its Bill of Materials. The system calculates assembly potential based on component availability in your Stock Configuration tab's "Stock Availability Warehouse Mappings" mapped warehouses.

When disabled: Shopify only receives physical stock quantities from warehouses selected in your Stock Availability Warehouse Mappings.
