Whilst you can create individual Sales Quotes directly in your account, go to the main menu and select Sales > Quotes > Import Quotes to create multiple Sales Quotes at once, using a CSV template.
The Import Sales Quote template can only be used to create new Sales Quotes; it cannot be used to update or edit existing Sales Quotes. And the Sales Quotes created via an import will be created in Draft status.
Prerequisites for importing Sales Quotes
To create a Sales Quote via CSV import, you first need to ensure the following conditions are met:
"Sales Quotes" is enabled in your account, under Settings > Company > Configuration.
The customer being quoted exists as a customer record.
The products and services being quoted exist as products in your inventory.
The Quote Number being imported does not already exist, including for deleted Sales Quotes.
Sales Quote role permissions
Determine which users can import Sales Quotes by enabling the "Import Sales Quote" role permission. The user's role will also need to be enabled for "Sales Quote" if they need to make any further edits to the Sales Quote after it has been imported.
π€ Tip: Review the Data Import Checklist and Troubleshooting Import Errors articles to help ensure a successful import.
