When an assembled product is enabled for batch tracking, any Assembly that's created for it requires Batch Numbers to be allocated for the assembled quantity.

To assign a Batch Number to assembling stock, follow the steps below:

  1. In the open Assembly, select the Batch Numbers tab.

  2. In the pop-up window, either assign an existing batch number or add new batch numbers for an assembled quantity for the newly assembled stock.

    1. To add a new batch number, fill in the following fields:

      • Batch Number: You can re-use the same batch number that already exists, provided the Expiry Date matches the original batch.

      • Expiry Date

      • Quantity

    2. Select "Add Batch" and Save.

  3. When Batch Numbers have been successfully assigned, the Batch Number tab will update to show a green icon, confirming the number of units with a batch assigned.

Whilst an Assembly is Parked status, the assembled unit's Batch Numbers remain editable. Simply click the Batch Numbers tab to re-open the pop-up window to manage the current assignment. Use the following functions as necessary:

  • Filter Batch Number: Use this field to search through the assigned batch numbers.

  • Quantity: Edit the current number of assembled units assigned to the batch.

  • Delete: Use the bin icon to remove the batch assignment.

πŸ“ŒNote: The error message "The quantity of batch numbers to be assembled must match the assembly quantity" will show iftoo many or not enough batch numbers are not assigned to all assembling quantity.
