In Unleashed, each product has a minimum and maximum stock limit per warehouse. If available stock falls outside this range, a stock alert is triggered. Advanced Inventory Manager (AIM) uses your rate of demand and stock strategy to automatically calculate and maintain these limits, keeping your reorder points up to date.
How AIM calculates min and max stock limits
AIM determines stock limits using historical sales data. It calculates a rate of demand based on past sales, then multiplies this by the number of stock days configured in your selected strategy. This automatically generates:
A reorder point: The minimum stock level that triggers a replenishment.
A safety stock level: The maximum stock level AIM targets.
For example, if you sell 28 units of a product per month and your strategy targets one to four weeks of stock, AIM will set the minimum limit to 7 units and the maximum limit to 28 units.
đNote: Min and max stock limits are designed to work with the Reorder Report, which helps you trigger replenishments when the minimum limit is reached.
Set min and max stock limits for a product group
You can set min and max stock limits for a group of products at once using the Modelling tab in AIM.
Go to the Modelling tab and filter the list to your desired group or sub-group of products.
Enter any required inputs, such as supplier lead days if you are using the Just-in-Time strategy.
Select a strategy:
Just-in-Time: Calculates min and max values based on lead days and buffer stock. Recommended for most use cases.
Manual: Allows you to enter fixed min and max values.
Stock Days: Targets a specific number of stock days.
Click Calculate to preview the results.
Tick the checkboxes for the products you want to update.
Click Submit to save the min and max values for the selected products.
đNote: The preview only shows potential changes; updates take effect only after clicking Submit. You can repeat this process to apply different strategies to different product groups.
Edit or remove min and max stock limits
To edit or remove min and max stock limits for a specific product:
Go to the product page in Unleashed.
Open the Inventory tab.
Click into the Min and Max columns.
Make the necessary edits, or remove the values as required.
đNote: Changes made to min and max stock limits in Unleashed automatically reflect in AIM, keeping your stock control data synchronised across both systems.
Bulk import min and max stock limits
You can also set min and max stock limits for multiple products and warehouses at once using an import file. See Import and export AIM forecasts in bulk for steps.

In Unleashed, each product will have a min and max limit for each warehouse. If the available stock is outside of this quantity, then it will display a stock alert. In AIM, the rate of demand and your strategy for how many days of stock you want to hold will determine the min and max stock limit. For example, if you sell 28 units a month of a product, and you want to hold 1-4 weeks of stock, then AIM will update the min limit to 7 units and the max limit to 28. This is intended to be used with the Reorder Report to help trigger replenishments when the low limit is reached.
AIM determines stock levels using historical sales data. It calculates a Rate of Demand based on past sales and multiplies this by the number of stock days configured in the selected strategy. This process automatically generates reorder points (minimum stock levels) and safety stock levels (maximum stock levels).
