What is Product Lookup?
Product Lookup in the Warehouse Management app allows warehouse staff to search for and view product information using their mobile device. How to use the Product Lookup Function on the Warehouse Management app
Prerequisites
Products must be set up in the system with accurate information for search results to be complete.
Searching for products
You can search for products by entering keywords into the search field or by scanning a barcode.
Run a manual search
In the Warehouse Management app, navigate to the Product Search screen.
Tap the search input field and enter your search term. You can search by product name, SKU, or partial matches.
Tap the "Search" button.
The Warehouse Management app displays matching products in the "Result" tab with a count indicator showing how many products were found (for example, "Search Results (27)").
Each result card shows:
Product name
SKU
Eye icon for viewing full details
If no products match your search, the Warehouse Management app displays a message: "No products found for '[your search term]'".
๐Note: You can enter up to 128 characters in the search field. Tap the X button that appears when you enter text to clear the input and start over.
Search result limits
The Warehouse Management app returns a maximum of 100 products per search. If your search term is very broad and matches more than 100 products, try narrowing your search with more specific keywords or a partial SKU.
Searching with barcode scanning
Scanning barcodes provides a faster lookup method when products have visible barcode labels.
In the Warehouse Management app, navigate to the Product Search screen.
Tap the barcode scanner icon button (located to the right of the search input field).
Your device's camera activates automatically.
Position the barcode within the camera view.
The scanner captures the barcode value and searches automatically.
The Warehouse Management app displays search results based on what the scanner found:
One product matches: The Warehouse Management app displays the product in search results.
Multiple products match: The Warehouse Management app displays all matching products as a list.
No products match: The Warehouse Management app displays a message: "No products found for '[barcode value]'".
If you cancel the scan or scanning fails, the search is not executed and you remain on the search screen.
Viewing product details
When you select a product from search results in the Warehouse Management app tap on any product card from search results (or from your search history) to display comprehensive product information. The Warehouse Management app automatically adds the product to your recent search history and navigates to the Product Detail screen.
The Product Detail screen displays:
Product image (or "No image" placeholder if unavailable)
Product name
SKU
Barcode value
Stock section: Current stock quantity with locations and quantity in each location
Dimensions: Height ร Width ร Depth format
Volume
Weight
The Product Detail screen is view-only. You cannot edit product information or perform actions from this screen.
Tap the back button to return to the search screen.
Using search history
The Warehouse Management app keeps a history of the last 5 products you've viewed, allowing you to quickly return to recently searched items without performing a new search.
Navigate to the Product Search screen.
Tap the "History" tab.
The Warehouse Management app displays "Recent Searches" with up to 5 products. Each entry shows:
Product name
SKU
Timestamp showing when you viewed the product (date/time and relative time, for example "2 hours ago")
The most recently viewed products appear at the top of the list.
Working offline
Product Lookup supports offline mode by displaying cached results when your device connectivity is temporarily unavailable. This allows you to continue viewing product information even in areas of the warehouse with limited network coverage.
๐ Note: Offline mode displays previously cached results only. You cannot perform new searches or retrieve updated product information without an active network connection.
