You can use BI Inventory Vision to analyse how long your stock has been sitting in your inventory, track slow-moving items, and export the data for further analysis.
Analyse stock age data
To view and analyse stock age data:
In Unleashed, go to Business Intelligence > Inventory, and select the Vision tab to open the BI Inventory dashboard.
Select a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) from the available options, such as 'Stock on hand value'. The Stock Age chart below the KPIs groups your selected KPI into age bands based on each product's most recent inbound receipt date.
Click on any of the other charts' bars, e.g. a warehouse from the Warehouse chart, to narrow results to a specific location.
Click any bar in the Stock Age chart to drill down into the products within that age band. The Product chart updates to reflect your selection.
š Note: Products without a qualifying inbound transaction are categorised as No Receipt Date and will appear as a separate group in the chart.
Export stock age data
BI Vision's Inventory supports several export formats depending on what you want to download.
Content type | Available formats |
Charts | PNG, SVG, PDF, CSV (shown or all data) |
Grids | Excel (.xlsx), CSV, PDF |
Enquiries | CSV or PDF (full data, bypasses pagination) |
Dashboard screenshots |
To export data from the Stock Age view:
Click the download icon in the Stock Age chat.
Select your preferred format, such as Export to CSV.
Track and identify slow-moving stock
If you need to identify slow-moving items without using the BI Vision Stock Age view, you can use the Stock On Hand Enquiry. The Sale Days column shows the number of days since a completed sale was last recorded for each product, making it a useful indicator of stock movement.
Limitations
Stock age by quantity
Unleashed does not track stock age by quantity unless your items are batch-tracked or serial-tracked. If your products use batch or serial tracking, go to the Batch or Serial Number Enquiry and export the Batch/Serial Information report to view the full transaction history for those items.
No dedicated aged stock report
There is no single built-in report for aged stock details. Use either the Stock On Hand Enquiry (Sale Days column) or the BI Vision Stock Age view as alternatives.
