What is Stock Check?
Stock Check allows warehouse staff to verify physical inventory counts against the quantities recorded in Unleashed. When you need to confirm inventory accuracy, you can search for a product or scan its barcode, enter the physical count you observe in the warehouse, and immediately see whether it matches the system records.
The feature provides instant validation by comparing your physical count against Unleashed quantities. If there's a mismatch, the app displays the variance so you can see exactly how the counts differ.
Important: Stock Check is a read-only verification tool; it helps you identify discrepancies without modifying inventory quantities in the system.
Why use Stock Check?
Verify inventory quickly: Compare physical counts against system records in seconds without needing to access a desktop computer.

Prerequisites
Ensure your Unleashed Warehouse Management App is connected to Unleashed.
Products must be set up in the system with current inventory records for accurate verification.
Finding products to check
You can locate products for stock checking in two ways:
Search by product name or SKU:
Navigate to the Stock Check screen in the app.
Enter your search terms (product name or SKU) in the search field.
The app displays a list of matching products.
Tap on the product you want to check from the list.
Scan a barcode:
Navigate to the Stock Check screen in the app.
Tap the barcode scanner icon.
Position the product barcode within the camera view.
The app retrieves the matching product directly.
If a scanned barcode doesn't match any product in the system, the app displays an error message: "Product not found". You'll need to try a different barcode or use the search function instead.
Once you've identified a product, the app displays the product name and SKU.
Validating your count
After selecting a product, you can enter the physical quantity you counted and validate it against system records.
The quantity field appears with placeholder text prompting "enter a number".
Enter the physical quantity you counted in the warehouse.
Tap the "Validate" button.
The app compares your entered physical count against the current Unleashed quantity for that product.
Understanding validation results
The app displays different results depending on whether your count matches the system records:
Match: If your physical count equals the Unleashed quantity, the app displays a confirmation message: "Count matches the real stock (XXX)" where XXX is the quantity.
Mismatch: If your physical count differs from the Unleashed quantity, the app displays:
"Mismatch"
"Real stock: XXX" (the Unleashed system quantity)
"Your count: XXX" (the physical count you entered)
"Difference: XXX" (calculated variance, shown as negative if your count is less than the system quantity)
This variance calculation helps you see exactly how the counts differ and whether you have more or less inventory than the system shows.
Checking additional products
After reviewing the validation result:
Tap "Cancel" to close the pop-up.
The app returns you to the product search screen.
You can check another product or exit the feature.
You can check the same product multiple times if needed. Each check is independent; the app doesn't track or prevent repeated checks of the same item.
Important limitations
Read-only verification. Stock Check does not update inventory quantities in Unleashed. It displays discrepancies for information only.
No inventory adjustments. You cannot adjust system quantities through this feature. Any inventory corrections identified through Stock Check must be processed through other Unleashed inventory management features.
