What is a bin transfer?
A bin transfer allows you to move inventory from one bin location to another within the same warehouse. You can use it to reorganize stock, consolidate inventory, move items to more accessible locations, or replenish pick face locations from reserve storage.
Bin transfers are internal moves only — they do not affect your overall warehouse stock levels or create any transactions in Unleashed.
When to use a bin transfer
Bin transfers are useful when you need to:
Correct misplaced stock so pickers can find it quickly
Move inventory from a reserve location to a pick face location
Consolidate the same product from multiple bins into one location
Reorganise stock across zones or aisles to improve picking efficiency
Perform a bin transfer
From the home screen, tap Bin Transfer.
Tap Create Bin Transfer.
Select your Source Bin — search by name or scan its barcode.
Select your Destination Bin the same way.
Choose the product to transfer. If the source bin contains only one product, it will be auto-selected. Otherwise, search by name, SKU, or barcode, or pick from the list.
If the product is batch-tracked, select the batch. If only one batch is available, it will be auto-selected.
Enter the quantity to transfer, and optionally add a reason for the transfer.
Tap Confirm Bin Transfer, review the summary, then tap Confirm.
Your completed transfer will appear at the top of the Bin Transfer log.
Important: Bin transfers only move stock within a single warehouse. You cannot use a bin transfer to move inventory between warehouses.
Bin transfers do not affect overall stock levels in Unleashed - only the bin location within Unleashed Warehouse Management is updated.
