Access Evo's Warehouse Management app (WMA) is a mobile warehouse management system designed to streamline your daily warehouse operations. This article explains what the app does, how it benefits your business, and walks you through its core features.

What is Warehouse Management?

Access Evo's Warehouse Management, and its app, is a specialised software designed to optimise and manage warehouse operations by consolidating all essential warehouse operations into a single mobile platform. Rather than juggling paper-based processes, spreadsheets, or multiple disconnected systems, your warehouse staff can manage their entire workday from one app on their mobile device.

The Warehouse Management app integrates directly with Unleashed, meaning every scan, movement, and update syncs in real-time. When goods arrive at your warehouse in the morning and are received through the Warehouse Management app, your Unleashed inventory reflects those changes immediately. The same applies when orders are picked and packed throughout the day; your stock levels stay accurate without manual reconciliation.

Access Evo's Warehouse Management and its app are distinct from Unleashed. If you are attempting to use the Warehouse Management app. It it is important to note that Warehouse Management is specifically designed for use with Unleashed Core or Pro subscriptions that include the Warehouse Management (WMS) module.

Who should use the Warehouse Management app?

The Warehouse Management app is built for warehouse operators, stock handlers, and fulfilment staff who need to process inventory movements quickly and accurately. If your team currently relies on paper pick lists, manual stock counts, or switching between devices and systems to complete their work, the Warehouse Management app can simplify their workflow considerably.

Warehouse Management Features

Receive Goods

When shipments arrive at your warehouse, use the Receive Goods feature to process incoming inventory. Staff can scan item barcodes using their device's camera, verify quantities against expected deliveries, and update stock levels the moment goods are checked in. This eliminates delays between physical receipt and system updates.

Put Away

After receiving goods, the Put Away feature guides operators to optimal storage locations within your warehouse. Staff can record exactly where each item is placed, building an accurate picture of your warehouse layout over time. This location data becomes valuable when it's time to pick orders, as the system knows precisely where to direct staff.

Product Look Up

Need quick access to product information while on the warehouse floor? The Product Look Up feature lets staff search for any item and view its details without returning to a desktop computer. This is useful when verifying products, checking specifications, or answering questions about specific SKUs.

Stock Check

Maintaining inventory accuracy requires regular cycle counts and audits. The read-only Stock Check feature enables staff to verify physical counts directly from their mobile device, to quickly identify inventory discrepancies, allowing you to investigate and correct issues before they affect customer orders.

Picking

When sales orders need fulfilling, the Picking feature guides operators through efficient pick routes. Staff receive clear instructions on which items to collect and where to find them. Barcode verification at each step ensures the correct products are picked, reducing errors and the costly returns or customer complaints that follow.

Packing

Once items are picked, the Packing feature helps staff confirm order contents, pack items appropriately, and generate shipping documentation. This final verification step catches any picking errors before orders leave your warehouse and creates the paperwork needed for dispatch.

How Warehouse Management works with Unleashed

The app relies on transaction and product data from your Unleashed account and warehouse data from the Warehouse Management in Access Evo to synchronise stock actions back to Unleashed. Here are some important points to understand about this integration:

  • Product information flows from Unleashed: Product names, SKUs, and batch tracking settings are maintained in Unleashed and synchronised to the Warehouse Management app. Keeping your product master data accurate in Unleashed ensures that receivers and pickers can correctly identify items.

  • Inventory updates follow the Unleashed workflow: When a purchase order receipt is completed in the Warehouse Management app and synchronised to Unleashed with a status of "Receipted," the inventory levels are immediately available for picking or fulfilment.

  • Warehouse locations are configured through Warehouse Management in Access Evo: Locations of a warehouse synced from Unleashed must be configured directly in Access Evo before items are put away in the Warehouse Management app, so they can be efficiently picked by your warehouse team.
