🤓 Tip: This mode works like standard picking but with a more flexible workflow — you can start with any product and pick in whatever order works best for you.

Before you begin

An administrator must configure the picking mode before you can use this workflow:

  1. Open Warehouse Settings in the Warehouse Management app.

  2. Set Picking Mode to Unguided Picking (with quantity tracking).

  3. Save the settings.

📌 Note: There are two picking modes available — Guided and Unguided Picking. This article covers Unguided Picking with quantity tracking only.

Find and open an order

  1. Navigate to the Order Picking screen from the main menu.

  2. Select an order from one of the three tabs:

    • New — Orders that have not been started.

    • In Progress — Orders that have been started, partially picked, or paused.

    • Picked — Orders that have been fully picked, packed, or despatched.

  3. Tap any order from the New or In Progress tab to open it.

The Order Detail screen displays the order number, pick status, a progress bar, and the full list of products to pick.

Understand the Order Detail screen

Each product line on the Order Detail screen shows:

  • Product name and SKU

  • Quantity required versus quantity already picked (for example, "0/5")

  • A status indicator:

    • Grey — Not yet started

    • Orange — Partially picked

    • Teal — Fully picked

A progress bar under the Order Cards that tracks how many items have been picked overall.

📌 Note: You can tap any product line in any order. There is no enforced picking sequence — pick items in whatever order suits your warehouse layout or workflow.

Pick a product, confirm, and complete

For steps on picking a product, confirming a pick, handling multiple locations or batches, pausing, and completing an order, refer to Picking with the Warehouse Management app.

The key difference in this mode is that you are not directed to pick in any enforced sequence — you can start with any product and move through the order in whatever order works best for you.
